Maintenance Request Hey Kate,
I was writing to see if you could put in a word to get the vents in our department replaced? They've been “cleaned” by the janitorial staff according to the maintenance chart, but that smell I mentioned to you earlier is still lingering around.
I wouldn't ask if this wasn't urgent. Apparently it made Travers nauseous enough to go home earlier and we still haven't finished the test batch for this week. So if you could take care of it maybe sooner than later this time, that would be great.

Upcoming Department Events Good Morning, Data Analysts!

This is a kind reminder of some upcoming events within our department. (Yaaayyy!) Coming up next Tuesday is our very own Margaret P.'s birthday! We'll be having a small celebration in the breakroom during lunch so steer clear if you're allergic to gluten, eggs, and streamers! Also incoming is National Cat Day, which we all know the big boss takes very seriously. If you don't have a cat of your own to cherish, I'll be bringing my own Crumbcake in for everyone in our department to share! The department will also be providing face masks and hand sanitizer to any employees that may suffer from allergy.
MOSTLY IMPORTANTLY— We are two weeks away from our annual potluck!! Please remember to RSVP any dish you plan on making on the department bulletin board, unless you want to deal with my famous green bean casserole again! Haha just kidding. But seriously, make sure to volunteer for at least one dish.

Great work team, keep those spirits high and those shoulders low!
